Need help now?

If you feel like you might hurt yourself, or are concerned you might hurt others, please call 999 or go to A&E. There’s also the NHS 111 number if you need advice but it’s not an immediate emergency.

Look up NHS URGENT MENTAL HEALTH HELPLINES

If you are in distress and in need of support, please reach out to people in your life and let them know what is going on.

Speak to your GP, talk to your employer about what support might be available through your work, as sometimes this can be quicker than NHS.

Also make sure to look out for local voluntary sector / charity organisations / peer support groups. Many areas have wonderful groups where people support each other through tough times.

If you prefer to speak to someone who doesn’t know you – try one of the following help line services – there are phone, text, and online options depending on how you communicate best.
